The Story of Yanxi Palace is a costume and palace drama that was presented by Huanyu and co-directed by Hui Dongkai and Wen De-Guang. It stars Wu Jinyan, Qin Lan, Nie Yuan, and Charmaine Sheh, and co-starred Kevin Xu, Wang Yuanke, Tan Zhuo, Su Qing, Hong Yao, Lawrence Wong, Shumei Lian, Li Chun’ai, Jiang Zixin, Sookie Pan, and Li Ruoning, with Zhang Jiani as a guest performer.

The drama tells the story of Wei Yingluo, a maid in the imperial palace, who resolved numerous difficulties with her courage, wisdom, and open-mindedness. She eventually becomes the imperial consort who makes contributions to the reign of Emperor Qianlong thus bringing prosperity.
