On October 16^th, UTC 1, Huanyu Entertainment Co., Ltd. released the Chinese and English trailers of Story of Yanxi Palace, a TV series with the background of palaces in Qing Dynasty (1636-1912). The trailer takes the growth of Wei Yingluo (played by Wu Jinyan) as the storyline, telling the story of how a maid in palace becomes the highest-rank imperial concubine. The trailer restored the life in the Forbidden City and displayed Kunqu opera, 24 seasonal divisions of a year and etiquette in the royal palace in Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), making foreign media full of interests. Wu Jinyan, the heroine of the drama, was brilliant in the trailer, and foreign media asked: “Who is this girl?”

　　Having the traditional Chinese looks, Wu Jinyan works even harder to look more like Concubine Ling in history. She studied historical materials and asked for advice in ancient etiquette. In order to be as slim as Concubine Ling, her weight was reduced to 40kg. Meanwhile, her acting has fully displayed the psychological changes of Wei Yingluo, who becomes the highest-rank and beloved concubine of Qianlong Emperor from a maid in the palace. Wu Jinyan brings Concubine Ling back to life and impresses the foreign media with her expression.

Character modelling in the drama follows the costumes and decorations in the palace of Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), such as hairstyle of women in the inner court of the royal palace, long and thin eyebrows and wearing three earrings on each ear.
